Loi Khratong 2019

Last night, Thai people celebrated Loi Krathong here in Thailand.

It is celebrated to respect the water spirits. People prepare or buy a small floating bouquet and launch it to the river or canal. In my town, since we are near the Mekong river we have a great venue to release our deepest wishes. Last year, I released a flower bouquet with my wishes but when I heard about how messy the water was after the celebrations, I decided not to release bouquet this year. I also joined the local party beside the wonderful Mekong river. I just l.o.v.e that river and the cold breeze that it brings to my heart.

I went to the local party and of course, I ate a lot. lol

I ate local food with the touch of Vietnamese influence, local Sumtam, and other desserts.
